Налоговая льгота для лиц состоящих в браке

Если Вы состоите в законном браке либо однополом браке (далее по тексту –«гражданское партнерство»), узнайте больше о «Налоговой льготе для лиц состоящих в браке».

Супружеские пары либо гражданские партнеры (состоящие в однополом браке) могут воспользоваться возможностью «Налоговой Льготы для лиц состоящих в браке».

Вышеуказанная льгота позволяет лицам, состоящим в браке/гражданском партнерстве, перевести часть своей личной необлагаемой налогом суммы дохода (далее по тексту –«Personal Allowance») супругу или гражданскому партнеру.

Данный вариант применим парам, в которых один из супругов / гражданских партнеров имеет доход ниже суммы Personal Allowance, либо имеет доход, облагаемый налогом по ставке 0%. При этом доходы второго супруга должны облагаться по базовой ставке (т.е. быть не выше £50 000 в год, на период 2020/2021).

Налоговая льгота для лиц состоящих в браке позволяет переводить 10% от своей суммы Personal Allowance (для 2020/2021 – £1250) супругу или гражданскому партнеру. Это позволяет снизить сумму налога до £250 в отчетный налоговый год (с 6 апреля одного года по 5 апреля следующего года).

Чтобы узнать, какую сумму налога Вы можете сэкономить, подав заявление на Налогвоую Льготу по браку в этом году, воспользуйтесь калькулятором, доступным по ссылке Eligibility Criteria – Marriage Allowance – GOV.UK (tax.service.gov.uk)

Предположим сумма Вашего дохода за налоговый период 2020/2021 составила £11 500. В данном случае Ваш доход не облагается налогом, так как Personal Allowance на указанный период составляет £12 500.

Ваш партнер в свою очередь заработал за налоговый период £20 000. Тогда сумма подлежащая налогообложению составит £20 000 – £12 500= £7500.

Таким образом Вы, как пара оплачиваете подоходный налог в размере £7500.

Когда Вы инициируете заявку на получение Льготы для лиц состоящих в браке, Вы переводите своему партнеру £1250 из своей суммы Personal Allowance, уменьшив ее до £11 250 (£12 500 – £1 250). А Ваш партнер получает «налоговую скидку» на £1250 своего налогооблагаемого дохода.

Это означает, что теперь Вы будете платить налог с £250 (£11 500-£11 250), а Ваш партнер будет платить налог только с £6250. Как пара, Вы получаете выгоду, так как оплачиваете подоходный налог только с £6500, а не с £7500, что позволяет вам сэкономить £200 на налогах.
